Oklahoma has long been interrelated with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Indian tribes of Oklahoma have run Bingo sessions for generations. Guests from all of the surrounding states get in automobiles and travel to Oklahoma to wager on Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 IGRA was introduced after a landmark determination by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. Since that time, twenty three of the thirty nine American Indian bands located in Oklahoma have established gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the gambling restrictions, and today control 10 casinos of their own. Bingo is the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were built on. digital games such as slots were not allowed, due to the fact that they are thought to lead to gambling addiction more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules has changed to allow for gigantic Native gambling casinos. You will now find Native casinos with slot machine games, video poker and black jack tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the Amerindian gambling dens as of yet, although that is just a waiting game. No one can determine what having other games in the bingo parlors will do for the appeal of bingo.
