Oklahoma has for a long time been interrelated with Bingo. That is because the Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo sessions for generations. Clients from many of the nearby states load up in vehicles and visit Oklahoma to play Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) followed a benchmark ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court the year before. Since that time, 23 of the 39 Native bands located in Oklahoma have introduced gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Amerindian tribes to take advantage of the wagering restrictions, and at this time control 10 gambling halls of their own. Bingo was the game on which these casinos were built on. automated games such as slots weren’t authorized, because they’re thought to lead to gambling dependency more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules have altered to allow for big Amerindian gaming gambling halls. You’ll now find American Indian gambling halls with slot machines, video poker and blackjack tables. Craps and roulette are still not authorized in the Amerindian gambling halls as of yet, but that is only a matter of time. Nobody can say what having different games in the bingo houses will do for the draw of bingo.
